What types of needs do you support?
We support a wide range of needs, including high medical needs, developmental, behavioral, social, and emotional support needs. Services are always tailored to each individual and family.
What is respite care?
In our Respite Program, children can enjoy safe and supportive overnight stay in our cozy home, giving parents and caregivers a well-deserved break. Our diverse and compassionate team including qualified nurses provides both medical support and attentive, individualized care. During high demand periods, we also offer day programs and weeks-long stays to better support the needs of families.

Are your staff trained and screened?
Yes. All staff members are carefully screened and receive ongoing training to ensure high standards of safety, professionalism, and quality care.
How does funding work for respite services
Families who qualify for FSCD funding can often have services covered through this program. We also support families in navigating funding options and making the most of available resources.
Do you provide Emergency Respite care
Life can be unpredictable. That’s why Bloom Community Haven offers urgent respite care in Edmonton and surrounding communities helping families respond quickly to sudden changes and unexpected challenges.

Land Acknowledgement for Treaty 6
Bloom community Haven respectfully acknowledges that we are located on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and travelling route for diverse Indigenous peoples including the Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dené, Ojibway/ Saulteaux/Anishinaabe, Inuit, and many others whose histories, languages, and cultures continue to influence our vibrant community.
We acknowledge all the First Nation, Métis and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for generations. We are grateful for the Traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We recognize the land as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting.
All of us who live and work here benefit from the signing of this Treaty and have a responsibility to ensure that the spirit of Treaty 6 is honoured and respected.
